User review this air compressor
The bottom line: The FP2048 Campbell Hausfeld air compressor is a complete, ready for the game that will last for many years. All cars must have at least two with an air compressor in his garage. You can use an air compressor and the combination of the tank to inflate car tires, lawn mower tires, inflate basketballs, footballs and inflatable pneumatic wheel barrel.
The FP2048 weighs about 10 pounds and is 15 "tall. A 6-foot cable with three pin that connects the product to know that it is based. The tank is blue and has four feet of welded cylindrical structure. In each of the legs are rubber pads that isolate the two and help keep produce vibration during operation. I am one of the rubber feet and now the balls of the compressor by the plant when lit. To avoid this, I have to be against the wall.
The compressor and indicators on the tank sat wrapped in a black plastic bag. At the top of the shell is a storage compartment attached to the hand. Inside is a set of tools that can be used to inflate balloons and air mattresses. The front of the casing of the air compressor has two easy to read gauges 0-145 psi air sweeping. The first indicator shows the fuel tank on board, while the second is used to show the line pressure. A button below the second indicator is used to adjust the speed of air pressure.
Performance I got my first real test of this product two weeks ago when my 2008 Ford Mustang GT has a pin stuck in the right front tire, causing a slow leak air. The air compressor was full of 95PSI but 2 liters of air has been able to match the tire to 25 psi. I had to fill the tank twice in the air to the tire. If ever inflate the tires off the road in a Jeep vehicle or otherwise, I recommend getting an external tank to fill air in advance.
Sustainability When I had a Jeep TJ, I would take the Campbell Hausfeld FP2048 all in the back at work, while the off-road. The product is thrown from one side of the jeep and the other still in place when needed. One morning a year ago, I was late for work and the left front tire on my jeep was almost flat. I put the FP2048 at work and in 8 minutes I was ready to go. I went outside of the product without realizing that it would rain. When I got home from work the tank was partially submerged. He took out the water and dry in a one week workshop. Then I connected the compressor and on without any problems.
The FP2048 is certainly a difficult product. Most air compressors are mild and stop working after a year, but this is a happy exception.
Consumption Using a P4400 Kill A Watt Power Meter, which measures the consumption of air compressor.
To fill the inner tank 2 gallons of 95psi took 4 minutes with a peak of 244 watts and a total of 0.01 Kwh.
I have a 7-liter portable air fill me from time to time for use in any workshop. To fill the tank with two gallons of the external tank 7 to 15 minutes with a peak of 247 watts and a total of 0.03 Kwh.
Summary The best feature of my air compressor to be reliable, well constructed with thermal protection, the electric motor. I am disappointed that the FP2048 only reach 95 PSI through an internal locking mechanism. I can not look up to when the RV tires and could use the extra capacity for inflating multiples. However, overall it is a great product that is easy to use and the following two thumbs up from me!
